Meet Us

Hi, we are Arundel and Jane. We’ve been friends since age 4, in love since 18, and became one at 20. We love having people in our home and find we are most comfortable when we are sitting at a table with friends or strangers alike. We are both the youngest in our families and have so much fun being Uncle and Auntie to 9 nephews and 2 nieces!

We are writing this blog to share our story as we pursue adoption. We know that this story will have its’ highs and lows, but we also know that every moment of it is beautiful because it is the story that God is writing in us.

We love that you are here and would love to hear from you!

  1. Dear Arundel and Jane, I want to let you know that I am following your blog from the Netherlands. My daughter Nienke (Jane met Nienke on DTS in UK) gave your blogname so I can follow your story. We have adopted two boys from China in 2001 and 2004 and last year God showed us His will, that we should adopt another child. So, at this moment we are waiting for a phonecall that we can welcome another boy or girl from China!
It is really special to read your story of the adoption. We have an amazing God and He will bless you!
    Greetings from the Netherlands,

    • Hi Marjolein! It is so lovely to hear that Nienke passed the blog along to you! I remember her telling me lots about your process of adoption while we were on our DTS. I am so excited for you as you await that phone call…we are just starting the ‘waiting’ period and it feels like forever already! 😉 Does it get better?! What is the process like in the Netherlands?

We will be praying for you as God brings you a special son or daughter from around the world! God really is so good to us in this process!

      Love, Jane
